Poetry Reading and Signing with Sydney Eddison

In celebration of Earth Day, Sydney Eddison will read from and sign copies of her newest book of poetry, All the Luck: Poems Celebrating Love, Life, and the Enduring Human Spirit (Pomperaug Valley Press, $15), at The Hickory Stick Bookshop on Sunday, April 22nd at 2pm.

In her third book of poetry, Sydney Eddison continues her reflections on life, love, and nature. Sometimes joyful, other times bittersweet, her simple yet precisely worded poems reveal a life of connection, appreciation, and acceptance. A seasoned observer of both human nature and the natural world, Eddison attunes our eyes to the rhythm of the seasons and our hearts to the rhythm of life.

“How wonderful to have another collection of poems from Sydney Eddison! Weaving together strands of love, loss, gratitude, and wonder, Sydney reminds us of the small miracles of daily existence and renews the ties of our common humanity.” –Tom Fischer, Editor-in-Chief, Timber Press

Sydney Eddison lives with her Jack Russell Terrier, Pheobe, in a yellow farmhouse surrounded by a 2.5-acre garden of her own creation in Newtown, Connecticut. Her articles have appeared in publications such as Fine Gardening and Horticulture, and she is the award-winning author of seven books on gardening, including Gardening for a Lifetime, A Passion for Daylilies, and A Patchwork Garden. This is her third book of poetry.
