Signing & Drawing Demonstration with Illustrator Doug Cushman - Pumpkin Time
Join us for an afternoon of fun with Doug Cushman, as he presents a drawing demonstration while discussing his newly illustrated book, Pumpkin Time written by Erzsi Deak on Saturday, October 11th at 4pm!
Evy is so preoccupied by gardening that she fails to notice a series strange happenings taking place around her. Cows parade down the street in fancy hats that seem like Easter bonnets, donkeys sail through the sky in sailboats, pigs dance around a maypole, and chickens, rabbits and pigs play badminton. What was Evy doing? Evy is so focused on watching her garden grow that she misses all the silliness going on around her. But after Evy's spent all year taking care of her garden, everyone's invited to pumpkin time!
A celebration of gardening and the harvest, Pumpkin Time is a fun book to read aloud. Celebrating all there is to love about fall, gardening, and pumpkins, Pumpkin Time shows the stages of raising pumpkins as it follows the life cycle of a pumpkin. The book asks questions that children can either answer or look in the back to find the answer. Pumpkin Time includes recipes at the back of the book which are easy for children to follow and make.
